With the hearts - you can change the symbols to one of a number of same sized green box icons. Maps Two kinds of maps are supported by GPXSee - online maps and offline maps. The icons are searched in the global/user symbols directory and the icon is selected when the image basename (without extension) matches the symbol name. That is exactly the correct use of the term 'Waypoint' as far as Garmin is concerned. Waypoints that have a symbol name (GPX tag) defined can be shown with an icon corresponding to the name.
